ROLE ROTATION: FP&A EMBRACES DIVERSITY OF THOUGHT

Guest speakers

DAVID ADAMS, MBA

J. SCOTTIE BRYAN, MBA

CHESAPEAKE ENERGY CORPORATION

DESCRIPTION:  What skillset is needed for an effective FP&A team?  The answer is all of them.  We’ll spend the next lunch hour defining the role FP&A fills, and how a robust rotational program with FP&A creates the fundamental viewpoint challenges needed for FP&A operations while offering the overarching survey that many technical professionals lack.  Rotational individuals aid in the development of diverse business partnerships, create advocates for the group, and return as more well-rounded and commercially focused individuals in their post rotational role.  It isn’t as simple as moving people in and out of the group though, there are still core skillsets needed and some stability within the FP&A organization.  Learn how Chesapeake Energy uses its rotational program to develop individuals and create investment advisors throughout our company.
